Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

No Account Required for Browsing

EconPulse does not require an account to browse any U.S. location's economic dashboard. Search, view, compare, and export are all available anonymously.

An account is only required for power-user features (saved reports, email alerts, PDF exports) — and we only ever ask for what's needed to provide those features.

What We Collect

For anonymous browsing, we collect nothing personally identifying. There are no third-party advertising trackers, no profiling, and no data sales.

If you sign in (Google OAuth), we store your email address and a unique ID so saved reports and alert preferences can persist across sessions. Nothing else.

Aggregate Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-respecting self-hosted analytics tool, to count page views and measure feature usage in aggregate. Umami does not use cookies, does not track visitors across sites, and does not collect personal data.

Aggregate API usage (which locations are searched most, which metrics are viewed) is logged for capacity planning. These logs are not linked to individual users.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for the site to function — most importantly the NextAuth session cookie if you sign in. No tracking cookies, no third-party advertising cookies.

Data You Can Delete

If you have an account, you can delete it (and all associated saved reports and alert subscriptions) at any time from your account settings. Deletion is immediate and complete.
